The Mid-America Wound Healing Society is a group that was formed to address the issues of those who suffer from chronic wounds. The goal of this society is to support wound care professionals as they work to decrease the rate of complications from chronic wounds, speed wound healing and enhance the quality of life for these individuals.
The Mid-America Wound Healing Society also seeks to promote education and research and act as a resource to legislative bodies in the arena or chronic wound care.
As a professional, multidisciplinary organization, the society will provide a local forum for exchange of knowledge pertaining to the practice of chronic wound prevention and healing.
